I went to go use my iPad and i found a small crack on the screen from one end to the other (horizontal). The crack is very annoying because at an angle you see black dots going through the screen. It also goes through the proximity sensor at the top and about an inch left from the home button. My Apple warranty is good for another year, would the warranty cover the cracked screen?
It's the glass on top that's cracked and the Apple case was on it all day. This morning it was not cracked, now it is. And the case covers the front of the screen.

No, not likely.

The reason for this is that most cracked screens are caused by accidental damage as opposed to a design defect.

It is a warranty, not an insurance policy.

That said, if it is a known defect they would replace it for you, but unless a bunch of other people have the same issue, you likely will get no help.

The screen can be replaced rather cheaply, as long as it is not the actual LCD that is cracked but the glass on top of the LCD.
