I am writing a book and Ares reincarnation is in the book. I didn't want his name to be Ares bc that would be to obvious. Does anyone know if he had any other names? Or any ideas?

probably but I don't know them. Since he's reincarnated that implies a death, how much memory does he retain and what is the nature of his new life? Was he reborn as a human? What kind of upbringing did he have? Who raised him? These things determine what kind of name he'll be given and what later name(s) he will choose for himself.

Ares, like most of his fellow Greek deities, had plenty of other names, one of which, Enyalios, was a Spartan cult title of his, sometimes said to belong to a son he had by his own daughter the war-goddess Enyo, to whom he was married. He was alternately known as Polemos, "War." In the Iliad, Homer often refers to Ares as Andreiphontes, "Man-Slayer." This god's other surnames included Stratios, "Warlike; Obrimos, "Strong/ Mighty"; "Oxys, "Piercing/ Sharp [like a spear]"; Thouros [Thurus], "Violent/ Furious"; Thareitas, "Beastly"; Deinos, "Terrible/ Fearsome"; and Khrysopelex [Chrysopelex], "Golden Helmet." The Greeks believed that Ares was worshipped as Anhur [Onuris] at Papremis in Egypt, and as Verethraguna in Persia (who was called Waragn in Armenia).

Well I think Eminem is the god of war because his name is MARShall Mathers.

Well, in Rome they called him "Mars." "Areios" was used a lot.

But if you want one no one's really heard of? go with "Enyalius"
