...when there is a scandal? How about I go the whole hog and narrow down 'people' to WOMEN.

The vast majority of women I know (and please not I am speaking from personal experience, NOT generalising all women everywhere) detest football, have no interest in the finesse, skill or competitive element involved in the game, and only 'support' which ever team David Beckham plays for (that has been actually quoted to me - twice).

Yet, the moment some juicy, salacious gossip comes up about Footballer X, they are suddenly experts on all aspects of football; including the fundamental ethics of their salaries and their sporting prowess.

Do these women annoy you as much as they annoy me?

I'm a woman and I love football. I hate this lockout and so do the players. They should've done something by now I mean come on. I won't have anything to do on sundays in the winter.

I'd say i'm LESS intereste dwhen there is a scandal.
I hate football at the best of times, i can't stand those overpaid prinma donnas who earn more than doctors just because they can kick a ball about. 99% of footballers are thick as two short planks.
I hate the sort of women who just want to be a wag. How sad if thats your ambition in life.
I only really like football whent he world cup is on as i quite like seeing other countries play. I rarely even support England when we play as a majority of our footballers disgust me.

1 in 5 women watch football and from that 1 in 5, about 25% genuinely follow, love and understand the game as good as we do lol

but given how many idiot male football fans ive met - i'd raise that percentage higher lol


You're right geeze, women haven't got time for 'men sports' in their busy shopping lives lol

they're wo-men remember ?

They'd rather go to Boots Pharmacy and sample the latest perfumes and buy some makeup instead lol

THAT is more fun to the average woman than 90 minutes of football - and THAT is a fact lol

there are women who follow the game religiously like some men do, I use to go out with one - she was an Evertonian Scouse chick lol


I hate it when people who don't follow football suddenly have an opinion about it or the players who play it, and how they seem to act like they know what they're talking about - I agree, the majority of these people do tend to be women lol

I find it hilarious.

Face it, football is a girls game anyway: the vast majority of players are tarts and puddin's and those "men" who follow it are probably latent gays or something.

Football is boring. So are those who follow the ridiculous hobby - because it definitely doesn't qualify as a sport.
