The fact is that most people who have studied Christianity are atheists.
Most Christians tend to accept what they are told rather than studying for themselves.

...also the ones who feel? like they need to be up front and center preaching and teaching about it? For the record, I'm agnostic but I've read and studied the Bible before. I know someone who just loves to talk about religion. After a few minutes, it becomes quite apparent that they know absolutely nothing about scripture but are just airing their opinions and 'making it up' as they go along. They claim that 'the spirit' is carrying them away but then the spirit seems to be filling them with incorrect information. And they're often the first ones to want to approach strangers and preach about the word. As a Christian, do you encourage or discourage this sort of behavior from people who lack knowledge?
 
I'm an atheist, but I do get tired of hearing stuff that people make up about religion. One guy once told me that his friend was born with only one leg, but people prayed for him, and his leg grew right in front of their eyes. This is not going to convince me of anything except that this guy is a liar.
