Does it matter if your truck looks like crap as long as it runs good?

I have a old 93 Chevy C2500 3/4 ton and its seen its better days on its body it has a three dents two of them are big the grille is broken in places the paint job is ugly because it was originally white but every time the truck got a dent in it the previous owner would spray paint over it and now it has run marks over it but the engine has a 454 BB in it and it roars like a monster so does it really matter what the truck looks like? I'm only 16 and this is my first truck
 
Sounds like a good first car to me.

Save some money and repair the dents and grille and get a new paint job. You can probably do some of the repairs yourself to save some money.
