does it really matter how you install the tire on a rim on sports bike

as long as the rotation is correct? what would happen if i install the tire without paying attention to the dot which is suppose to go on the (valve) except for it being out of balance. I did 140 on this unbalanced front tire now i heard from someone about his bead lock? or something on the tire it's kinda scaring. lol i know the tire wobbles a little bit a at that speed just a little bit but is my tire fit okay?
