I'm a skinny guy who wants to look fit and strong. I just joined a multichain wellknown gym in Toronto last week and signed up for 1yr personal training contract with a weekly session with a trainer.

This is costing me $70/session *4:$280/month

I've read stories about scams on internet about gyms charging people for sessions they dont even take etc...specifically about the one I goto. Now I can't cancel it since it is 1yr contract with 1 session witha trainer every week.

Does it worth paying four times more money u pay for membership itself just for a trainer each month. Deos eprsonal trainers at wellknown gyms rip off or is it worth having them since i dont have any knowledge about fitness.

You are skinny and not familiar with gyms or contracts. You signed a contract and are of age and sound mind and body. If your province has a three day get out of a contract, get out. If there is no such law, you are in, and buyer's remorse is common. Getting a deal closed is part of any gym employee's training except for community gyms. That being said, you cannot cancel. You will love this gym You will go for your sessions, and be very assertive if the trainer is a slacker which I doubt at that price. Now, calm down. Read the contract. Read every word. Then, henceforth, make sure you get the services for which you paid. FYI, for future reference, only join gyms with an opt out feature and ask questions until the cows come home before signing anything. I once was taught how to sell dance lessons, and that is how I know about such things. Enjoy the gym and go and learn. Make sure the contract is not on an automatic annual renewal.

I'll be honest, that seems like a lot of money to pay.
Your trainer darn well better be good.
A trainer can be well worth your time, especially if you are a fitness newbie. For that price, you should be not only getting a great workout at every session but also learning a lot, and getting great results. If you are ever anything less than thrilled with your training, you should immediately ask for a different trainer.
But especially for a skinny guy, you are probably going to have to learn a lot about eating, and you are going to have to learn how to perform some heavy lifts where having somebody there to teach you and spot you is almost indespensible.
