I'm prewriting for a story, and getting some great ideas. Tell me what you think.
When a young man moves away from his mother to the city of Ellemet where his father, the king of Ellemet rules. He is eager to inherit the crown, when his father re marries and a cruel stepmother and tormenting stepbrother become part of the royal family. A year passes, and it picks up as the man is being tortured by his stepbrother, his own age, and he runs off. After a year of suffering, pain and abuse he allows dark spirits to add themselves to his body, making him both powerful, smarter, and eviler... He wreaks havoc, silently, and nobody in all of Ellemet could suspect that the one ripping it apart from the inside is the one who was meant to rule.
Sounds cool, huh? I know at first it sounds like a cinderella story and I'm not trying to make it not by making it a stepbrother or anything I just needed a good reason for him to turn himself evil, and that made perfect sense. So, tell me what you think, I hope it's not cliche. Ask any questions and give me some feedback!
