Doesn't it annoy you when people complain about things that they put on themselves?

I guess these people should apologize for phrasing their comment in a way you find annoying.
What they say in your first paragraph - and what you say in your second paragraph is expressing pretty much the same sentiment - but this "I hope I can do it" and "I knew that when I signed up" does sound a little icky if needing to be said to several different people
 
For example, this girl at my lunch table was complaining about how many things she had to do this summer such as volunteer at a soup kitchen, look at colleges, and try to look for a job. Another girl was complaining about the large amount of homework she had in her AP class.

Am I the only one who finds this annoying? You don't HAVE to volunteer at a soup kitchen or look at colleges. You also don't HAVE to be in an AP class. I could see if they said something like, "I piled so much on my plate this summer! I hope I can do it!" or "My AP class is so much work, but I knew that when I signed up!" Does anyone else agree? What are your thoughts? Thanks for your opinions :-)
 
I agree. the college searching girl thing is ridiculous.Seriously i totally agree. If your just going to complain dont even volunteer and save us the stupid complaints. And the AP girl.... it is like get over it dude!!! it is just homework. Man i totally agree. it is so annoying. in my class a girl was like I wont have time for my homework because i have basketball. It was SOOO annoying
