Double sided dvd onto a single disc?

I have a double sided dvd, one where I have to go to the dvd player and flip the disc in order to watch the rest of the movie. I'd like to join it to a dual layer dvd disc without doing any compression. Please recommend me a program to do this, and a step by step guide is preferred. Thanks.
 
Is it a true factory DVD movie? If so you will have to rip the DVD using DVD decrypter. Then use a VOB to mpeg compression tool. Then the video will be on one side.

Doing so you will loose some quality, and most DVD home players will not play this DVD.

Or I guess you could burn it to a single Blu-ray.
