dvd copying software?

i have tried dvd shrink it works only half the time. i really need a program to copy my dvd movies to an iso format. while copying it needs to also compress and work on any dvd out there i had one but its trial ran out though i thought i had the full version so any help would be awesome and yes ive used google and found nothing please help
i think i forgot to mention that i need a free program not something i have to pay for.
