Firefox tool bar, don't like having to hit ALT?

I'm running Windows 7 and trying to use the latest version of Firefox. However, I have to hit Alt every time I want to see "File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks" etc. at the top. Is there any way around that? If not, what version of Firefox should I switch to so I can see those all the time?
