First comment rant off youtube?

OK I am just curious why people post "first comment" or "first" on youtube.

Seriously what's the gain? I don't get the point. It's not like being first to comment makes someone famous or anything. It's just a spam. In fact it's not even a comment.

I like to hear some of you're thoughts. What do you think?
 
Because they are little butthurt 12 year olds who think they are cool
 
People do this solely because they want people to check out their channel. It is basically the equivalent of saying "Hey! If you like this, check out my channel!
