For Christmas 2011, we are looking at going on the Golden Princess to Hawaii.
There will be three of us including two children (they will be 16 and 13).
In the past we have been on four cruises, three with P and O whom is the sister line to Princess.
I was just wondering if this cruise was suitable for children.
Also, I have been reading reviews and many say the food isn't the greatest.
Also, in the past, when we went on a cruise, we travelled with family so there was always a big group of us at dinner each night so we had a reservation, however, as there will only be three of us, I was wondering whether we will have to eat with other people which I really do not want.
I have heard that for some restaurants you have to pay extra, how many free restaurants are there?
Also, I was wondering if they have places where you can buy ice-cream at any time.
Also, do you have time to look around LA before getting on the ship or getting off?
I am fine with the sea days, but I heard there was ukulele classes. I have my own ukulele so would I be able to bring it?
We have done the Caribbean three times so we wanted a change, but is Hawaii as good (or better)?
I basically just want to know what this holiday is like, what the ship is like and whether it is worth the expense?
Many Thanks
