I'm going to be driving in about 3 months & I want to get a durable car. Something not too expensive, good on gas, not too small & preferably a car. I'm looking at Toyota, Honda & Subaru, but I want other people's opinions. I live in Alaska, so I need something that is good in snow.
Another thing, how would I go about my insurance? If I drive my mom's car for awhile, how would the insurance work out? I'm very confused about that. If I can driving lessons, will my insurance go down? How much do you think I'll be paying each month?
Lastly, if a car have over 100,000 miles, doesn't really mean it's a bad car? What exactly does it mean if it has over 100,000?
Thanks!
ETA: When I do buy a car, what are the specific things I should ask the dealer? Just questions about the car.
I wasn't planning on buying from a dealership, I'm just talking about the person that sells it to me (the dealer). I'm most likely going to get one off of craigslist.
