I have been working on an idea for a futuristic piece of literature and finally came up with something I like.

The year is 2552, and the United Nations of Earth (and her Colonies) is struggling with one problem, keeping it's outer colonies in line. For years groups of rebels known as insurrectionists have fought small battles with UNE forces in order to break away from the UNE itself. Most of these have failed do to their primitive nature, but the insurrectionists (commonly referred to as "innies" by UNE soldiers) have realized what they need to do, train harder, better, and stronger and use much more force. The small groups begin to join and soon become what they need, the Insurrection.

The (1st) Insurrection War begins...

How do you like it?

That's interesting I would read that for sure. One thing the 'innies' slang makes me think of a belly button 0_o

Philosophiliac's right. And "insurrectionists" is way too long.

Your entire movie will be a montage. Don't know what that is? Google it. Your characters can't just decide they need to be better. Deep personal problems and conflicts compel them forward. Some symbolic definitive event occurs which compels war to be eminent. Maybe the rebels start fighting dirty, or clever, maybe there is one weakness in the enemy that causes infiltration to be easy. A woman perhaps...

It's good enough that it has been done a lot of times. Just make your story good -- better than the others. It doesn't have to be an original plot to be a blue-ribbon winner for you.
