I need to write a two page (double-spaced) story that follows Ernest Hemmingway's style of writing (little detail, and things often are not what they seem.) For example, in his story "Hills Like White Elephants" he has a man and a woman talking and it turns out that they are talking about getting an abortion, and he never even comes close to saying it in the actual text. Basically, I need an idea for a story that never actually says what the point is and has little detail but the reader can easily figure it out.

make a short love story with a sad ending...i read a farewell to arms which has nothing to do with loosing your arms.

it is very sad at the end but i still think it is a wonderful story.

kind of like a man's romance novel, if such a thing exists.

well i write stuff like that.

check out my question,

hopefully it might inspire you, but don't steal my ideas
