I have T-Mobie as my cell phone provider (I know, not the best, but whatcha gonna do). I currently have the Motorola W490, which is a basic flip phone. I am looking to upgrade to a better phone, one with good multimedia features. However all the good ones (BlackBerry, G1, etc.) seem to require data plans tacked on to the regular monthly bill. I want a better phone, but I don't want to be forced into an extra plan, my bill is expensive enough as it is. I don't want to buy a phone I have to unlock (i.e. iPhone) and am trying to stick with the ones strictly offered by T-Mobile. Here is what they currently offer:

Any suggestions?

Not really sure what you mean by multimedia features. Blackberry will be good because you are not obliged to get the data plan unless you plan to use the internet/email. You can surf the internet on most/all blackberries if you have access to WI-FI.
G1 is almost useless without the internet so stick with Blackberry if you do not want any data plan but want a smartphone.
