By that I don't mean some aliens that look like humans and have "special" powers/eye colour. Or some teenager-orientated love-fest, or an erotic thing. Just a book with aliens, a good plot, and some alien-human romance.

Catherine Asaro is a science fiction writer that uses romance in her plots.
ote that the stories were published in non-chronological sequence, from the perspective of the characters.
