Good Sci-Fi movies like Cube, Stargate, Tron?

I asked this before and I got all mainstream movies that I have already seen. I'm looking for sci-fi movies that are underrated or cult classics. Please, Please don't say Jurassic Park or Star Wars. Thanks again.
 
Depends on the kind of Sci-Fi movie you're looking for. War of the Worlds (1953) is a great movie. A little campy but a good movie. As is Invasion of the Body Snatchers(1956). A big help is searching mainstream movies and finding links to other little known movies. Also, IMDB.com is a help, it's a database of movies and television shows. If you have a particular actor you like you can look up what else they have been in. Hope this helps

The Black Hole - 1979
Capricorn 1
The Matrix
District 9
The Blade Runner
Moon
Invasion of the Body Snatchers
The forbidden Planet
Planet of the Apes
Metropolis
Alien
Blade Runner
The day the Earth stood still
the 5th Element (a bit of comedy in this one)
Close Encounters to 3rd kind (a Spielberg film, so its gonna be good)


These are just a few i can remember my dad talked about the most.
