Have they released an OS 5 update for Blackberry 8520?

A friend of mine also has the 8520 handset and we both run the same Blackberry plan + BB email and he managed to update his phone. Lately the internet on my phone has been playing up and when I search for a wireless update it says a 'connection' couldn't be established, even if I'm running it on the carrier (TMOBILE UK) and the wifi.

I really want the threaded sms feature :( any help on updating this?
