Just purchased a c4640 print copy scan that's wireless. I have a toshiba satellite laptop with Windows 7 aswell. I want to be able to put the printer with the laptop on a small computer cart with wheels and have it be moble. I've tried everything to make the printer become wireless and it keeps saying offline. I thought maybe if i hooked a USB to the printer and then my router it would recognize the wireless printer and everything would be alright. HOWEVER, the back of the router only has ethernet holes in the back. Then I tried to work with the homegrouping feature and that didn't work either. It only gives me the option to write down and save my password. I have no idea how to set a homegroup up, it only asks what i want to share, i select printer and then it says to save the password. please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My router is made by NetGear.
OH and YES my printer is set to default and NO i dont have the option to "connect" the printer. DOES NOT give an option to switch the printer "online". I right click and it only has print preferences, properties, use offline, set as default printer etc.
