i'll save and put the game away and come back a few hours later to no save. its like it disappears or like i never saved at all and thus i have to start all over again. its quite frustrating. does anyone have any clue how to fix this or why this is happening?
The internal battery is dead. The game saves are maintained by a small button battery, and now almost 8 years after the game has come out, most of the games have dead batteries.
From experience, I've found it's nearly impossible to replace them. Nintendo used to do it, but now if you tried they'd just tell you to get Diamond or Pearl. (Which isn't a bad idea, actually. Those games are saved to a card, so this will never happen again.)
My advice? Move on. It's sad, yes, but it's worse to sit fretting over a game that doesn't work.
this sint answer but i no how to duplicate. desposit pokemon in a populated box. then go 2 a separate box and deposit one there. go back to the first box and while its saving turn off and back on. the pokemon is in ur inventory and in box. u got suicune rite?
Well, it sounds like the battery in the cartridge needs to be replaced. If the battery is dead, you often lose save data. Here is a website explaining how to do it.
Unfortunately, the cartridge contains an internal battery for the purpose of saving game data. Said battery eventually runs out of juice, thus you can't save anymore. Sucks, I know. I'm not sure if you can actually open the case and replace it like a watch battery, but worth some research. Good luck.
