Okay so i have a HDMI DVD player with 5.1 surround sound..

and i have a blue Ray player with No surround sound.. my speakers slot with cables into the HDMI player so when i play a dvd i get surround sound.. how do i connect this to my modern tv for when watching standard television ?

is there any possible way to connect my HDMI surround sound to my blue ray player at all ?

Connect optical cable from Blu-ray player to DVD player system and red & white cables from cable box or TV to DVD player system for audio.

HDMI outputs provide 5.1 surround sound anyway. So if you have a surround sound system with an HDMI input, just plug it it.

normal TV broadcasts do not have 5.1 surround sound. So you can't get it at all.

If your speakers only use RCA connectors, then you will need to get something to convert the HDMI output from your blu-ray player to RCA sockets. 5.1 Surround sound amps now normally have HDMI inputs as I mentioned above.
