HELP! How do you fix PSP Error DADADADA?

I just bought the game Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and the game asked me to update from 3.40 to 5.03. I hit update and the screen goes to PSP ERROR DADADADA. I've searched and searched but can't figure out how to fix it. someone please help me before I have to go return the game.
