Help i lost my internet!!!!!!! 10 points first to help with reasonable answer?

Okay so i lost MY internet im using m neighbors its really bad, heres what happened i took out the little telephone looking cable out of my router and then i plugged back in and it dont work. Please help, i have comcast the expensive one dats supposed to be fast and i have never had problems what can i do to solve this an help
 
it should work after a few minutes. if it doesnt unplug it again for 5 minutes then replug and wait. if it still doesn't work its because somethings wrong with comcast if you call them it should help. oh yeah and restart the computer too.
 
you could try unplugging and replugging again, turn off your computer then back on, refresh the networks, or maybe just call comcast!
 
Unplug the power from your comcast cable modem and unplug the power from the router (if you have one). keep it unplugged for 5 minutes, unscrew the "tv" like cable connector to the modem leave it off for 5 minutes also. plug everything back in. that usually helps. unless comcast is having an issue and then its up to them.
 
First you should check the cabling. If that dosnt work the try resetting the router and your computer. If it still dosnt work then you should call Comcast and check with them cuz the problem might be with them, if it isnt they will send someone over to fix it
 
aight heres what you do. try restarting the router like switching the main switch off. check to see if all the wires are pluuged in and arent loose. then make sure you're wire u plugged out isnt like broken that can happen. make sure its secure. not wobbly. if that doesnt solve ur prob then i suggest you call the internet company you registered .
 
well turn of the box both the router and the modem then make sure all plugs are in right turn off comp.. then turn on the MODEM let it go for a min at tops then turn ur router for let that go for a min make sure all lights go on like ethernet,internet,power. if somthing doesn't go on don't freak out now turn on the comp let it go athen on the bottom right of the scrn click on the internet setting (windows xp shows a comp with 3 signals going out) then go to support and hit repair it should work ive had the same prob. and make sure that the ethernet cord from the modem goes to the internet and if ur connect to the modem by another ethernet cord make sure its in the last box (it would be the highiest number)
 
How long has your internet been down, what type of router is it, how far away are you?
