Hey, I'm having a problem with a boy, "rumors" and lying! I need any boy or girl...
...advice possible!? So i started liking this boy, and I found out from one of both of our friends that if he knew I liked him he wouldn't hesitate asking me out. But either way he asked me out on Thursday, and told him that I liked him but I wasn't sure I could date him right now because I was in a lot of trouble at home. So we talked all day and he told me how I am his world and he would do anything for me and stuff, he said he was going to stop swearing for me and stuff like that.
So the next day between every class I had someone coming up to me saying something stupid he had done, like for example a girl came up to me and said that he was flirting with her all period, and some other kids said that he cussed them out, and somebody else said he wasn't a virgin and that he smokes. And so I was really really mad and I asked him about every single thing everyone said and he said they were all rumors and were not true.
Today I had people texting me telling me that this guy is playing me and he isn't a virgin and he smokes and chews all the time, and that he is lying about everything. Two of my best friends who are really good friends with this guy both told me all this and said I need to move on.
Before I learned all this lovely new information I told this guy that I needed him to prove to me I could trust him and he promised he would and then stopped texting me.
I really just don't know what to do, he lied to me soooo many times and says they are just rumors trying to break us apart, I want to believe all the great things he says to me but how can I after hearing that just about everything that comes out of his mouth is a lie? Anyway I probably wont have to worry about him texting me since he is mad but all my friends just want me to drop him, but I don't know how I am going to do that when I go back to school, do I give him a chance to show me I can trust him, or go with my gut and what my friends say and just stop everything? Any any any advice beyond what I'm asking would be sooooooo much appreciated!!! THANKS!!!
