Ok so 'I'm looking for a Htb but i want to use it for my Ps3,360,wii, and my verizion dvr box. i would like a 5.1 one from like 0-600? i was looking around some and i need at least two speakers with stands so i can put them behind my couch. also i have an ipod dock already but i would like to connect that too. i've been looking for a long time and i just can't find one i like. can someone help me?

In my opinion the best HTIBs are made by Onkyo. I also think the #1 feature you should be looking for is HDMI switching. Unfortunately the HDMI switching Onkyo HTIBs are all 7.1 and I really don't think most people need anything more than 5.1 surround sound. So the simple solution is to buy an HDMI switching Onkyo receiver and a 5.1 speaker set. The receiver I recommend is the Onkyo TX-SR606. It's a great value, offering a lot of features for the price. With the HDMI switching feature you run both audio and video via HDMI cables from the PS3 and 360 to the Onkyo and then another out from the Onkyo to the TV. Without HDMI switching you have to run HDMI from the consoles to the TV and then optical cables (for the surround sound) from the consoles to the receiver.

Amazon has it for about $440. The Onkyo ships free and you may not have to pay taxes on it.

The speaker set you get depends on how much power you're looking for. I have a pretty simple setup that's ideal for home theater, the Polk Audio RM6750 5.1 speaker set. It's $210 on Amazon.

Then all you need are your cables. You'll need a subwoofer cable. Those are about $15. You'll need speaker cables. You can get 50' for about $20 so you can cut them to size. The HDMI cables are about $10 each online at monoprice.com or Amazon. Speaker stands can run as little as $40 and as much as a couple hundred.

OK, so a little over budget, but I have recommended a system that I think you'll be happy with for years.
