I cant seem to get good reviews for these 2 receivers:
YAMAHA RX-V367
and
SONY DH520
This will be paired with a very basic speaker set like:
YAMAHA NSP285
or
KENWOOD KS-3200HT (I will add an small sub at later time)
you guessed it, I am on a tight budget.
I am fed up of listening to the music from my TV radio and want something a bit more meaty and more satisfying. my head goes towards the full YAMAHA set up rather than the sony amp, what do you think?
the bluray player i currently own is a SONY Sony BDP-S470.

Sorry they all suck. There are only a couple decent sounding and built receivers on the market, NAD right now is building the best, then Marantz and Denon.

Yamaha, Sony, Kenwood, and many others are very poorly made, use cheap parts, do not use discreet output stages, and most important just sound plain bad.

Do yourself a favor and do some homework if you don't believe me and read some reviews from some of the better magazines like Absolute Sound, and Stereophile.
