Home theatre subwoofer doesn't work?

I have a Quest QS8 subwoofer that stopped working. It has its amplifier and shows power when it is plugged in. I have the output and input wiring set up correctly. When i plug it in it just does one "thump" and doesnt do anything else. I know its not the wiring from the speakers because it works with another subwoofer I have. I took the back off it and there are no shorts or burnt wires that I can see, no capacitors are blown and the fuse is fine. What are some ways I can test it to find the source of the problem, or is this a common thing with subs and an easy fix or replacement?
Thanks

Are you sending it any low frequency sounds? Did you go to your receiver and tell it you have a subwoofer hooked up and that all your other speakers are SMALL so it sends bass to the sub?

The subwoofer connection is a 'dumb' analog connection and your receiver may have forgotten it is attached. Check the receiver setup menu.

At times you can not see any fiscal damage to some electronic when it is burn out. Sound like the power amplifier on the unit is burned out. There is no quick fix. It is not a name brand speaker and it is not very reliable when you purchase bargain price items. It is not cost effective in repairing than just buying a new unit. Hope this will help you out.
