My 2009 honda accord goes only seven miles per gallon, and has been going like this since i bought the car. I have calculated by hand several times, and the trip computer also says that the car goes 7 mpg. My calculations were that on a full tank of gas, (17 gallons) and on this full tank the car lasted fro only 120 miles. Mechanics tell me nothing is wrong, No gas is being stolen. I've contacted my honda dealership and they have not helped me out at all, as i have been requesting
their help for the past year. I've wrote to Honda, even the Ceo, and they do nothing at all.
I was wondering, should i sue honda? What should i do? I bought this car, not lease, so its a problem on my mind. What should i do in order to sue? Most importantly of all, does anyone have
this problem? Helpful Answers please, and don't say you cant sue a billion dollar industry
because its been done before: http://wheels.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/12/14/civic-hybrid-owners-sue-honda-for-mileage-claims/
AND MY PROBLEM IS BIGGER THAN THE ONE IN THE LINK
I ve checked several, several mechanics, and they all say everything is okay.
I had contacted honda's ceo, said that their is nothing they can do.
IMy driving routine : I live in new york city this is during weekdays
drive kids to school ( no traffic) 8am
drive kids to home ( medium traffic) 3pm
drive to work ( no traffic-medium traffic) 5pm
drive from work to home ( no traffic) 5am

Take the car to a mechanic you can trust and have him examine everything from electrical to fluids. You may also be driving in a very rash way, but you would still not have that bad mileage. I think you should contact Honda until you get a response. If you are prepared for legal action, do some more research first.
