I have a haflinger cross (with what I have no idea!) that is currently standing 13.3 hh at 21 months old, I was predicted her to reach a maximum height of 14.2 hh. Do you think she could make it? Personally, I think she won't make more that 14 hh.

I'll give you a link to my facebook album http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=411485&id=569085374&l=dcf68bc0be so you can have a look for yourself, also if you want to give me ideas of what you think she is crossed with, feel free! :) (if the link doesn't work, I'll post one from an image hosting site)

Definitely crossed with Exmoor. Look at the colouring and the mealy mouth! Typical Exmoor.

She could make 14.2. Horses do not stop growing until the age of 6-7 so she has plenty of time with good feeding! A pure pred Hafflinger can grow to between 13.3 and 15 hands so though yours may be crossed with an Exmoor, she may reach the higher height. It does depend on the size of the dam and sire and which she tends to take after most. She could either be the same height as the taller or somewhere between the two. But definitely she will grow!

Just to say, She is stunning your very lucky :) I think she's probably crossed with new forest. She has quite rounded flanks like a new forest, and quite a flat topline :) She'll make an amazing jumper with a topline like that, Please post some pictures of her broken cos if she looks like that now, I can't wait to see her with some muscle along that topline :)
Any way back to the question. It does depend what breed she's crossed with :) I think she'll make about 14hh at 4 and at about 7 14.2hh and possibly if she one of the fast an ling growers 14.3hh but I hightly doubt it if she hasn't got a bigger breed in her :)

Really hope this helps :) e x
