how can i block torrents in my laptop.?

hi I am using broadband internet by LAN.when i went to office my friends downloading torrents.how can i block torrents in my laptop.

Find the torrent programs and kill them

If you don't want your friends sharing torrents, uninstall the torrent software and don't give them admin privileges.

I have long thought there should be a good network profile handler, that detects which network you are on and only lets configured programs run. Then torrents would only work at home, not at the office.
