how can i convince my parents to let me get a cell phone?

I need to know how to get my parents to let me get a phone everyone in my class has one and plus i am one of the kids who goes out with no parents. I need some good ways that they would not be able to say no to.

When your out with friends you need a phone incase somthing happens and you need to contact.

If you get a "pay as you go" phone it has no long term commitment (contract to be signed for several years) and you can add a set amount of minutes so you don't have to worry about unexpected bills.
