How can i install a new DVD in my BMW E46 ?

i have a BMW 318i Model 1999 (E46) ... and i have decided to change the origical CD player with a new DVD one with 7Inches LCD screen and navigation and all ... i was told that this could be done with some manipulation of the way the air condition pannel and the console panel are arranged ... is that possible? and if so .. where can i get a device that perfectly fits into my dash?
 
The magic word is 'Double Dim". Most of them cost about $150.
