How can i insure my car today without a cover note ( printer isnt working)?

I want to insure my car this morning but my printer isn't working to print the cover note out. How can i sort this out Tax wise PLEASE? Some one has said that all i need is the cover note number but......................................
 
You can do it online. The Insurance will show up on the DVLA system along with the mot.
