How can I make my Sony Ericsson X10i run faster?

I have been having trouble with my x10i as it has been very slow. I open messages and it can take over 10 seconds to load. I have also had trouble with the scrolling function in the menu part, it takes its time to react. HELP????
 
Will I had the same problem then I formatted my memory card and my Xperia was faster but not at it's fastest speed. So I deleted huge games I mean high storage games like real racing etc and it also helped. But if u don't have any important data on the phone I recommend u to fully format ur Xperia (sd card and phone storage) and u will see the results. And if u have important data just free up ur phone memory uninstall some apps etc and clear call log and u can also delete some messages but if u delete the whole conversation it would be better
