How can I stop Windows from keeping my Bluetooth headset engaged? (self.AskReddit)
submitted 1 minute ago by diggity801
I have a PLT 510 bluetooth headset. I currently have windows 7 installed and the headset is joined to the computer with the Headset and Hands-free telephony services. Whenever I establish a connection to my computer, it will keep my headset open for communication, as in I can hear static. I want it to only send sounds to the headset when they are actually generated.
I'm not sure if that makes any sense because it is somewhat hard to explain.
Basically I want it to keep an established link to the PC stop it from leaving a channel open. This counts as talk time and so it is really draining the battery fast.
