How can I watch a DVD in my Xbox 360 without a controller?

I have a Time Warner Cable, is it possible to make it work with the Xbox 360?

My Controller suddenly stopped working!
 
The only alternative to a controller is an Xbox 360 Media Remote Control. However if you have any working Guitar Hero or Rockband controllers they should make due.

Edit:
I wasn't very clear on answering the question. Without a controller, the DVD willl play, but it won't get past the DVD's main menu. Hope this helps.
