Hi! I'm writing a book but I don't want my mom to find out about it! It's not inappropriate at all, but my moms like, OBSESSED with everything I do. When my friends sleep over I have to tell them to whisper if they want to mention their crush and stuff like that! If my mom hears the word " boy" come from my mouth she asks so many questions!
So, how am I gonna write a book without her finding out? The girl has a boyfriend in my book, she'll go crazy! It's not like I can hide the book, she searches my whole room everyday.
How am I gonna write it with her everywhere? Sorry for my writing, my books not like this, I'm just tired lol.
Thank you!

They're right, use some kinda computer and usb.
But, if that's not an option, use a note book. Write your story at school, or anytime you can. And when you have to go home, have a trusted friend take your note book home instead. That way, your mom can't find it. And the next day, just have your friend give it back. Repeat this proses until your book is done.

Good Luck!

Well first of all, you could hide it in your pillow case, or you could type it and save the file but then name it something that just looks like a file on the computer, like name it Document File e:j, or something like that! Hide it in your clothes, rip the papers out of a journal and always keep it inn the pocket of the clothes you are wearing. Get a journal with a key and keep the key as a necklace and then hide the notebook in a closet or wardrobe, and say you lost it if she asks, take a small journal and tape it to the bottom of any drawer.
Hope this helped!

LOL. I had the same problem growing up, girlie. But the good news is that you have technology that I did not have access to. When I was 12 and 13 years old and obsessed with writing, I had to actually WRITE in a spiral notebook or composition book and stash it in my room--praying everyday that my mom wouldn't stumble upon it while I was at school and read my work. But now, as the first answer mentioned, you can just type your story in a Word document, save it on a USB drive, and keep that drive with you at all times. Even if you want to write it in a spiral, just take the spiral to school with you and keep it close while you are a home so that no one will read it. Trust me--I was a young writer and grew up with a nosy mother and two even nosier sisters. I know how this works lol.

Use an online word processor. This will also allow you to work on your writing away from home, like at the library.

Maybe you can find a way of storing it in a book that she'll never open. Like a math book, or something, a big textbook that you have up in your closet really thrown away, but inside you have your book.

You can try to hide it inside something really ingenious, that no one would think to look at. Like, inside a hanger, in the closet, of a big sweater, to the back, that you never use. Or hidden inside a shoe box with a false cover. Under your dresser, like on the floor under the dresser if your dresser covers the floor, and is only moved to clean it like twice a year. Under the mattress of your bed, but that's kind of common. You could also tape it or store it on the pieces of wood that support the mattress under the bed. Like, my bed has the board where the mattress goes, but under it also some wood boards that run accross it.

I'm like, imagining my room and where I would hide something, lol. It depends on how thoroughly she searches your room, but there must be places that are so common place and stupid that no one would look!

If you have an air vent that you can easily take out, you can store it inside. Or keep it with you at all times. That would be hard though.

Also, of course you could write it on your computer and store it on an online file storage site so that you don't keep any copies on your computer, if she searches it too. Write, upload, delete from comp.

Ahh, ideas, places, look at your room and think!

Well, I'm doing what your doing, hiding it from my family. What I do is go on the computer, open a word document, and start writing it. Make sure to keep an internet tab open, with evidence of you doing your homework. As soon as you comes in close/minimize your word document and pretend to do your work. She shouldn't, hopefully, look at your tabs at the bottom of the screen. >.< If she does, say your writing an essay for school about a certain plot etc. Later when she is gone, whiz up the window and keep writing :)
