How configure sound for DOS games?

I got a Dell inspiron 1525 that has vista. I'm not sure what settings I should have for the sound. Where can I find out?

But the options are for the sound drive:
Advance Gravis UltraSound
Sound Blaster Pro
Sound Blaster 16
Sound Blaster CLONE
Sound Blaster, Creative Labs

And for the midi drivers:
Adlib Gold
Adlib or compatible
Gravis Ultrasound MIDI driver
Roland LAPC/MT32
Sound blaster pro - OPL3
Sound blaster pro - Yamaha
Sound blaster or compatible
