How did Michael Jackson made a difference in the world?

1) He was quite an entertainer, and influenced "pop" music and dancing (his dancing moves were incredible, and very influential) quite a bit.
2) He came to symbolize "black" people who desperately wanted to become "white" - he was always trying to get his skin lighter, and because he was a celebrity this had an influence on many young "black" people who saw his desire to become "white" and were influenced by this.
3) He also popularized the "Peter Pan syndrome": the boy who just refuses to grow up. He never really did become a mature adult, choosing instead to use his riches to live in a fantasy land populated by boys..... i doubt that he ever actually had sex with any of them, but he famously opined that sleeping with young boys was a "charming" thing to do - like a sleepover!!

I'm afraid just because he was a talent some of the things that would make the ordinary man puke and I won't go into that makes him seem like he was a superstar. I remeber being in NAM when he really hit the market and after i got out kind of liked his music but there was something about child stars that always irked me and I wasn's wrong about him. I think most of his problem were from the people that were making money off of him like his parents and agents and brothers and such and i think they didn't let him actually have a childhood and grow up. Now most of us and even myself will look at a superstar for me it was mickey mantle and say right away wow i wish that was me until u see the kind of life and trials and tribulations that they had to go through to become famous. Talent is great the adulation money and such but is it worth your life ??
