How do I do the exploration mini game in sims 3 world adventure for iPhone?

I don't understand the instructions on the tutorial. What am I supposed to do with the symbols?
 
I was having the same problem! This is what you do...

When the dial comes up the center stone has one of the symbols that also show up on the outer rings. On the bottom there are two prongs (near your sim). What you have to do is align the center stone symbol with the SAME symbol on the rings in that prong area... So if there is a spider in the middle you need to move the spider on the inner ring & outer ring to be together at the bottom. This link will take you to my photo gallery where I have put two photos up as an example.... One is the start of the game and the second is the finish. I used the spider symbol as the example. I hope this helps.
