how do i get video recorded from dvd+rw on to computer?

i have got a dvd recorder connected to a tv and put a cctv camera with a scart in to the recorder. i recorder some videos on to a disk and it plays back on the recorder fine, when i put the disk in the computer there are no files on the disk.
dose any one know how to get the video of the disks so i can edit then reburn.
