How do I hook up my DVD player to a 1997 RCA television?

I have this TV free, and there are the three standard jacks off the dvd player for audio and video, but all I see on the back of the tv for the RCA is two ports in the middle, one says focus, the other says screen in small letters, and none of the plugs fit into it. Do I need some other kind of cable?

You will need an RF Modulator like this one.

What this will do is convert your component signal (yellow, red, & white) into a coaxial signal so that you can connect to the TV's tuner. You will then be able to watch DVDs on channel 3 of your TV.
