...answer)? I'm a senior in high school, and throughout high school I never had any problem making friends, I'm not socially awkward, I'm cute and I dress well. I have no problem speaking to people, I'm just not great at initiating conversations.

Anyways, most of my friends were older and now they're all in college and I don't have any friends anymore since they all moved away. I don't have common interests with people at my school (ie music, film, how I spend my free time etc) which is why I had older friends. How do I meet people the same age as me?

I go to parks, the beach, coffee shops, the library etc, but I never seem to see people the same age as me that would seem to have something in common with me, and I'm tired of wandering around by myself. What should I do?
Should I consider craigslist, or is that just like a guaranteed way to meet pedophiles?
I wouldn't change myself to meet people, everyone in my town is boring I have no desire to be like them. I like films by Gus Van Sant and Wes Anderson and listening to bands like animal collective and Jens Lekman, and there are NO kids my age here that like that sort of thing. And I'm not boring, and I do smoke and drink, and I'm not going to meet people at parties since everyone my age is immature...so essentially I just need to count the days until I can leave for college? Which I'm already doing?

Find boring people like you its hard. ... but yu can do friends just saying hi to a stranger.. trying to chat with someone near you.. .this kind of situations that people find friends..

you should probaly try to make friends at the places that you hang out at like coffee shops and at the library or something.. and don't you change yourself just to make friends because thats stupid and you'll get sick of it after a while..

I have the same problem, i am a softmore and all the other girls in my class are bitches. Anyway, the best thing to do is to act polite by all means and try to talk to some kids at your class, or at least act like they are interesting until you find someone that you like. Smile and nod(this is so common but it works!) and people would think good of you. Also act like its no big problem and don't let anyone get you down.
