How do i meet up with people in DC Universe online for PS3?

me and my friend recently got the free edition of DCUO, we both chose The Joker as our mentor and we both chose PVE. I invited him and got him into my group but when we try to meet up he is not there. we tried entering the club and exiting to refresh the world but we still can't meet up. do you know how to fix this?

Well, I guess that it's better than WOW. But, then again, being poked in the eye with a sharp stick would be better than WOW, so that's not saying much for DCUO.
