How do I set up a WEP security password for my wireless internet?

I recently set up a wireless router on my home computer and want to set up a secure network so others can't use it. I only want my laptop and video game system to be able to connect to the wireless internet. I have tried to set up a WEP security password and it says i need to make a "64 bit" password. How do I do this since my computer is not automatically generating a password?
