how do i stop pop ups that claim to be provided by windows internet...

...explorer? i have full internet security.? i recently installed internet explorer 7 instead of google chrome. now whilst browsing advertising pages keep opening without me doing anything. i have pop up blockers working, full avg, cleanspace and nothing seems to see a problem.

click tools, and choose pop up blocker than drop down menu. As per Betty above, you can choose settings on the menu to allow certain sites to display pop ups.

Having read the previous answers, I say get Firefox, the best and safest browser on the net. There are various add ons to give you complete protection.
