How do i tax my bike without a log book?

Hi i have recently boight a bike however the logbook has been misplaced by the previous owner however i would like to know how to obtain a new one and how to tax it with or without one.

Note: i did not recieve any type of log book documentation so i just need to know how to get a new one :-)
